We raise funds for equipment and services to ensure Alder Hey remains world class.

Story

We are taking part in Alder Hey Children's Charity dragon boat race to raise money for Alder Hey.

Last September our amazing twin girls Ruby and Olivia were born. Pre birth we were informed Olivia had congenital heart block at Kate's 20 week scan. After a very worrying pregnancy the girls were born at the Women's hospital in Liverpool. Within 30mins after being born Olivia was rushed to Alder Hey hospital to the children's cardiac ward 1C. This was where she stayed for the first 4 weeks of her life. She was taken care off by the amazing nurses and doctors at Alder Hey until she was strong enough for her surgery to save her life. Olivia was given a micro pacemaker which kicks in if her heart beat drops too low. She was cared for by the nurses until fit enough to finally come home with us and her twin sister Ruby and big brother Teddy.

Liv is now thriving and doing amazingly well! Thanks to the incredible care at the beginning of her life and care she will receive throughout her childhood.

We could never thank Alder Hey enough.

Love Si and Kate x
