Story
I am a therapy radiographer and have had the pleasure of working in the radiotherapy department at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre for the past 10 years. The treatment and care that we offer to our patients and families is second to none and we strive to continuously make improvements to the care and treatment we provide.
Action Radiotherapy is a charity that is dedicated to support radiotherapy research and development and provide support to radiotherapy professionals. They are the UK's only charity dedicated to improving radiotherapy treatment and we believe that every cancer patient in the UK should have access to the best radiotherapy treatment available.
A group of us at Clatterbridge are taking part in the fundraising challenge "miles4radiotherapy" which runs from July-October. We aim to walk/run/swim/cycle as many miles as our legs will carry us in support of this fantastic charity.
My personal target is 100km (62miles) a week- no mean feat for someone with little legs!
Thanks in advance for any donations, i'll keep you all updated on what I get up to while i'm out and about
