Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page...

In December 2016 our family received the news that our Dad/ Stepdad/ Grandad Nick was very poorly and in hospital. Sadly after many trips back and fourth to the hospital and having biopsies taken it was confirmed that he has Pancreatic Cancer. 

This has been a massive blow to our family and Nick is bravely fighting the cancer head on with the support of his family and wife Anne, he has just started his chemotherapy treatment. We are fighting this cancer as a family and wanted to do something to help raise money and awareness for this terrible disease. 

Pancreatic cancer unfortunately does not get as much funding as other cancer charities but it is one of the most aggressive of cancers and the late symptoms make it very difficult to diagnose early enough for patients to receive surgery. 

Whilst there are clinical trials happening, we really wanted to do something to fundraise for research, better screening and treatments for patients.

So what are we doing?

We have signed up to do our first Tough Mudder Half! We have not done proper exercise in a long time so this really is going to be a challenge for us! Add to the fact that we are not the tallest family but we are going to give it all that we have! 

As a family we are a team and teams can do amazing things when they work together. Thank you for reading our story and for any donation you can make towards the cause.
