Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I’ve been told to explain why I’m running so here it is …

I want to raise money for Breast Cancer Now because over the last 18 months I have seen the impact Breast Cancer can have on someone’s life.  It is more than tough emotionally and physically. Operations, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, not to mention the ongoing treatment and side effects.

During these months I have met some incredible ladies who have had breast cancer and each and every one is an inspiration! ❤️

When someone you love is diagnosed all you want to do is help, but the truth is, you can’t take away the worry or pain and you can’t protect them from the side effects of the treatment. All you can do is stand by their side so they know they aren’t alone. And well yes, you can also be stupid to make them laugh and have some fun along the way.

I decided I wanted to do something more to help, so I requested a charity place with Breast Cancer Now. They provide support to anyone who has had breast cancer and also carry out vital research on risk and prevention, early detection and diagnosis, treatment and secondary breast cancer.

So that’s it…that’s why I’m doing this! I haven’t run further than 10k before so it won’t be easy. But if those amazing ladies can get through their treatment the way they have then hopefully I can do this!! 🙏 

I was also 50 in January so I want to do something I can be proud of this year! 💪
