Lucy and Simon Pond raised the bravest little boy I have ever met who at 12 months old was diagnoised with Mitochondrial Disease which currently has no cure and no treatment. This is a truely terrible, debilitating disease which Aidan bravely fought for 9 months before passing away on the 1st March 14.

I am running to raise money for the Lily Foundation which is committed to finding a cure for Mitochondrial Disease and other metabolic disorders through funding research, raising awareness of these conditions and providing support to those involved and affected by mitochondrial disorders.
