Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We decided to run the Preston 10k on 30th September for the challenge and sense of achievement and of course to help others by raising some money.

Barnardos was an obvious choice for us since we all share their belief in ALL children, especially those who are vulnerable. The work they do makes a real difference to real children here in the UK, perhaps a child living on your street or attending the same school as your own child. 

For instance, just £15 could pay for a "survival kit" of basic essentials such as shampoo, toothpaste and soap for an abused girl who has fled her home with nothing.

This is what we'll be thinking about as we train. It will be hard work for the four of us - none of us are runners - but imagining the difference the money we raise will make to a child will keep us going. As will thinking of the generosity of all our lovely friends who donate.

Any amount you can spare will be hugely appreciated and very gratefully received.
