Story
I am taking part in the Great North Run on 18 September 2011 with my sister, cousins and friends to raise money for Alzheimer's Society and I'd really appreciate your support.
As many of you know, my mam Joyce has Alzheimer's after being diagnosed with early onset dementia in her early 60's. My dad Dougie is her full time carer.
Dougie completed 25 Great North Run's raising money for Alzheimer's finally retiring from running aged 72!! Julie (my sister) and I have pledged to continue fundraising for this amazing charity.
Alzheimer's is a heartbreaking illness. Not only for the sufferers, but for those around them who watch their loved ones change before their eyes.
