Story
CLIC Sargent is the UKs leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families and have been there for Bilbo and his family from day one. Their role in helping a family navigate the really tricky first few weeks is immeasurable. Their personal support makes all the difference.
March is a very special month as it will mark the final year of treatment for him. Bilbo has been on treatment since October 2018 and the last few months have been especially hard for him. We'll be walking with him to show our support.
CLIC Sargent also help to lobby the government to make better decisions about how they support families and young people with cancer too, this is really important work. Childhood cancer is woefully underfunded and almost all the support families receive is through charities. There is no cancer safety net.
For every £35 raised, you could be paying for a family to stay one night in a Home from Home. Our Homes from Home provide free self-catering accommodation close to the hospitals and are a life-line for families, helping them stay together during their childs treatment.
