About me

After losing my friend to suicide in October 2017 I created a bucket list of things I wanted to do to live life and enjoy it.

One of those things is a trip in a hot air balloon. I blame kids cartoons and films lol.

For someone with a history of Generalised Anxiety and not a great love of heights it's going to be as difficult as it is exciting but I've bitten the bullet and it is booked!

Who I'm fundraising for

Leeds Suicide Bereavement Service/West Yorkshire and Harrogate Bereavement Service are just two of the projects run by Leeds Mind. I've received support from one of them and I'm proud to work for the other. Leeds Mind is a local charity in desperate need of funding and every bit really does help. Last September I did the 600 Miles challenge  and my feet have never recovered so there's not a chance I'm doing that again 🤣 this September it'll be a little less painful I'm hoping!

HA Ballooning is weather dependent - how does it work?

I have paid for a voucher and the voucher is valid for 12 months. I booked for the morning of the 5th of September. The night before, I call a weather line to check the flight is on. If it's not then I rebook a new date.
