Zambezi challenge and lion conservation project
Campaign by Cats Protection (RCN 203644 (England & Wales), SC037711 (Scotland))
Our team of Cat Champions will go on a once in a lifetime experience canoeing down the mighty Zambezi River to raise vital funds to help cats and kittens. www.cats.org.uk/zambia20

Story

I am a volunteer foster carer for Cats Protection. I will be participating in a challenge event on their behalf, aiming to raise awareness, support and funds. I will be part of a team flying to Zambia to take part in a three day sponsored canoe trip down the Lower Zambezi River, canoeing between 12 & 28km a day, whilst hopefully avoiding the crocodiles and enjoying the landscapes. We will also spend time at a lion conservation project in Livingstone, helping with their conservation efforts and activities throughout Africa. This trip is a massive personal challenge due to my unexplainable but very real fear of water but I believe the cause is worth it.

In addition to this, to help fund the trip, I will be making and selling jams/chutneys, cakes, Christmas decorations, doing car boot sales, tombola etc. to help raise funds. My £4800 target goes towards the challenge and much-needed funds to help care for lots of cats and kittens. Any donations, no matter how small, will help me meet my target.

How your money helps

£5 could supply 10 days’ worth of specialist milk to hand-feed an orphaned kitten
£10 could pay for bedding and a safe place to sleep for a traumatised cat or kitten
£100 could feed five cats in our care until they are ready to go home
£150 could provide a full health-check for a cat including blood tests, neutering, microchipping and inoculations

Thank you for your kind donation.
