Story
My personal goal is to walk from my home to Dogs for Better Lives in Central Point, Oregon in the month of September. I am a big fan of the Dogs for Better Lives mission. I have friends and family members who have autism, are deaf or have other challenges that could be significantly benefited by a wonderful, loving service dog. And, I love dogs!
I recently decided to take up the Dogs for Better Lives Walk your Dog challenge for National Service Dog Month - a month to honor and celebrate service dogs. By participating in this challenge for the entire month of September, I am helping Dogs for Better Lives in their collective goal of fundraising 30K dollars in 30 days to raise and train more service dogs for their clients on the wait-list. I am proud to be able to do my part by raising funds to help them in their mission to enhance lives of the dogs, and the people they serve, by providing them the service of their Assistance Dogs - and all this at zero cost to the clients. We need your support so please do anything you can - register for this challenge or make a donation on my behalf. Together we can celebrate the service dogs, raise funds and awareness for the extraordinary work that they do.
