Story
Update:
Unfortunately, despite weeks of intensive physiotherapy and accupuncture treatments, I am having to defer my place in the London Marathon due to a torn muscle injury.
I'm hoping I'll be fit to do a different marathon this year, but if not, I hope those who've sponsored me will consider my 20 mile training run enough to have earned it...
Yes I’m doing it again!
On Sunday 21 April I shall once again be running the London Marathon!
The British Heart Foundation is a charity very close to my heart for a number of reasons. Like many of you, I have been affected by several loved ones needing heart treatment, both successfully and unsuccessfully. I never cease to be amazed by the incredible medical treatments and procedures available to those who need it and this treatment can only evolve through research and development which The British Heart Foundation actively funds
This year I shall be running in memory of a very special person to me, Anne Rolfe, my mother in law. When Anne needed heart treatment she underwent what was pioneering heart surgery at the time and received fantastic care. Although her surgery was unsuccessful, we know she was given the best possible chance through this surgery and no doubt the procedure will have been developed through further research & development.
Please sponsor me and help the British Heart Foundation!
