Story
I have the absolute privilege of being the Library Manager at Living Paintings, so I see and hear first hand how the amazing, beautiful tactile books we make really do make such a difference to all of our blind and partially sighted library members. Ted is one of our child library members, and so my son Wesley and I have been inspired by his fundraising efforts, and joined his fundraising team! We want to raise money for Living Paintings so that the charity can keep supplying our FREE postal library service to all of our blind and partially sighted beneficiaries.
I will therefore be running laps of my garden for 26 minutes, every day, for 2 weeks, whilst Wesley pogo's on his pogo stick continuously as I run. We shall start our challenge on Monday 27th April, finishing on Sunday 10th May. If you have any pennies that you are able to donate in support of our cause, it would be massively appreciated 💛 The charity needs our help more then ever during these difficult times. Thank you so much! Lisa and Wes x x
Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
