***** This is my 2nd Race for Life, last year I did it with a very special friend of mine who battled and beat breast cancer, this year it's much more personal...

In September last year My mum was diagnosed with stage 3 Bowel Cancer, it felt like the bottom had fallen out of our world, I can't even begin to describe how we felt, it felt someone had thrown our lives up in the air and we were waiting for it to come back down ! But, after 5 weeks of intensive radiotherapy, trailing to Leeds 5 days a week ... massive reconstructive surgery and a cholostomy, she thankfully got the all clear !! She now faces 5 months of aggressive chemotherapy to give her a better chance of it not returning .... 

Through all of this she has been amazing, all her doctors are amazed at her, our very own Superwoman ! Sometimes we've dragged her ( she's probably sick at the sight of me lied on her bed ! ) but mostly she's pulled herself along, hair done, lippy on, looking amazing !!

We are all so proud of her and realise just how lucky we are to still have her ... So this year, I'm Racing for my amazing mums Life !!! *****
