Story

Hi everyone, I'm doing a section of the South West Coastal walk starting at Minehead 10th July and back packing to Coombe Martin. I'm raising as much money as I can in the next few weeks for Dorset Mind a mental health charity to promote the illness; everyone suffers from it at one time in their life. Why this is important to me is because I've been at the bottom of the dark hole, took an overdose and talking to the smaritains they helped me to ring for an ambulance and 18mths later I'm coming through the other side.

Today I went for a walk today getting in practice for carry weight etc and for the last say 3-4 miles I met a stranger in the woods, her name was Sue and visiting family locally, she wanted to get out to explore. Bumping into her I feel was fate as she accompanied me in the last few miles of my walk. We met, we chatted, we laughed and it made our day. My bumping into Sue gave me inspiration to do this not only for the walk and an experience but to also promote mental health awareness.

I'll be blogging on Facebook each day of Coastal walk and from now till the end of the walk of that section, you'll be able to donate to Just Giving.
