 I'm pleased to be taking part in the BUPA Great South Run 2009 with a team of around 50 other runners from the St James School Association. We are running to raise money to improve the outdoor facilities for our children, who have a tired playground in need of some TLC. It's a great local primary school. Some of the Mums and Dads running are doing so for the first time, and it's great to see the enthusiasm of the newbies, as well as the more experienced runners.

I'm a first time runner and for those that know me this isn't something I've taken to easily, but I will run/jog/walk/crawl to complete the 10 miles.  Neil has been training hard and is looking a doing a very good time.  Kay has done this before (see pictures) so will be leading the way for the Upsons.
