John was a wonderful son, brother, friend, business man (Compco Fire Systems Ltd), uncle, husband to Lisa and father to Freya, who fought a courageous 3 year battle against cancer of the oesophagus from 2017 to December 2020. He passed away on 21st December Aged 54 years.  He was tireless in his devotion in trying to beat this disease. And, his wishes were for donations to be made to Cancer Research UK, to help in the provision of robust early screening to detect cancers as well as cures for those cancers not detected early enough.
