Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Kilimanjaro is the tallest free standing mountain in the world and the highest peak in Africa. Kilimanjaro is 5,895 meters tall - that's 19,336 feet....and my two feet are going to climb it!
You can follow my preparation, training, fundraising plans and total panic on my blog, the elephant diaries.

I'm raising funds for African Parks. They are a non-profit conservation organisation that takes on the complete responsibility for the rehabilitation and long-term management of national parks and protected areas in partnership with government and local communities.
With the largest counter-poaching force in Africa, over 600 rangers are on staff, and the most amount of area under protection for any one NGO in Africa, African Parks manages 10 national parks and protected areas in seven countries covering six million hectares.
African Parks is also undertaking one of the largest and most significant elephant translocations in human history. Up to 500 elephants will be moved from Liwonde and Majete to Nkhotakota. Due to poaching, habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict, African elephants are being decimated across Africa. This however is a different story, one of hope and restoration and of securing the future for Malawi’s elephants.
