Story
At The Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on our patients and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give them more quality time with their loved ones.Last year we supported more than 1,400 people and their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
As many of you know I recently lost my husband/ best friend and children's Daddy.
We were a normal busy family when the world came crashing down around us. Totally unexpected, Neale's devastating diagnosis is one I will never forget, as the perfect life we all knew was about to change forever.
Neale was diagnosed with a glioblastoma of the spinal cord, paralysing him for the rest of the time he had left with us. This was such a difficult time for myself and his family. Myton Hospice were amazing with the support given to us all, especially our 2 children.
I am taking part in this event as I want to give back some of what they did for us. None of us know if/ when we will need the support from Myton Hospices.
Thank you for your support
