Story
Thank you for reading my story. My best friend died of cancer a few years ago. I promised her that I would carry on living for the 2 of us. I have also battled cancer twice and I am still here living life to the full. I was told after my chemo and operations that the most I could probably hope to lift would be shopping bags. It was a long time building my fitness back up but 6 years later I am stronger and fitter than ever. I am 45 years old and thank god every day that I am here to tell my tale. I had my 2 nd child whilst undergoing chemo as I was told I would go into early menopause afterwards. It was hard as I was very sick but my daughter was born 6 weeks premature and weighed 1.3 kg. She is now 6 years old. I didn’t go into early menopause and trained everyday to get a level of my life back. 2 years later I had my 3rd daughter aged 41. Cancer is a part of me now but everyday I fight to stay fit and beat this horrible disease. I miss my friend dearly and realise how lucky I am. I was told at the time of my pregnancy that if I had been going through the same scenario 1 year earlier there is no way I could have started my treatment at 12 weeks pregnant but due to advancement in research there was a posibility. Money for research is vital so please help me to aid in the advancement of future treatment and please donate whatever you can spare.
