Story
Those of you that know me will know that my husband Steve lost his battle with cancer on the 8th of March 2016.
Steve had a dry cough that didn't seem to be going away so had a scan.nothing was found and was advised that it could be asthma and he should come back for another scan later in 2015. Before the next scan happened he was admitted to hospital with stage 3 lung cancer, it had already spread to his brain. That was November 2015.
I, my children and Steve and my families were devastated.
The Roy Castle Lung foundation told me that £100,000 funds a year's research into a blood test for early detection. if that had been available then maybe...
I wanted to help raise that £100,000 and do something that would help me feel a little less helpless so I asked www.roycastle.org for a charity place for the London Marathon 2017.
They said yes and have asked me to raise £2,000 but I'd love to raise as much as possible towards the £1000,000.
If you want to sponsor me, that will be fantastic. I said there's no point in asking people to sponsor you for something easy, believe me this wont be easy, but I will do it!
