Story
We have chosen Derian House as one of our charities to support in memory of 'our princess' Jessica Green.
Jessica was diagnosed with a terminal Brain Tumour called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) in March 2011 when she was only 3 years old. Jessica battled the evil disease for 3 years but sadly passed away at Derian House in April 2014.
We were introduced to Derian House in November 2013. Since then Derian House have provided much needed support to both Jessica and our family. The staff have been amazing and the facilities there helped Jessica to live her final days in comfort and surrounded by her close family.
Loosing a child is the most devastating thing a family can go through. The facilities at Derian House meant that Jessica was able to remain there after she had passed away. This brought us so much comfort to know that she was still being looked after and it gave our family extra precious time to say good bye to her.
The staff still continue to support our family. They hold annual forget-me-not services and offer counselling which is invaluable to us.
Derian House is such an important facility to many children and their families and this is why we have chosen to support them. Any donation would be most welcome and greatly appreciated.
Thank you xx
