Hello and thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

This year, I will be training hard to run the London Marathon on Sunday 2nd October for the inspirational charity, Whizz Kidz. It is my hope that the creation of this page will raise funds to help Whizz Kidz with the vital work they do in transforming the lives of children and young people with disabilities. 

Whizz Kidz provide vital mobility equipment, opportunities, training and support to enable children with disabilities to lead fun, active and independent lives. 

Here's how Whizz Kidz helped the son of my dear friend and colleague :

The lovely little man pictured above is Lenny. Lenny has cerebral palsy, and when he was 4 years old, he asked for a bike. Sadly, Lenny was unable to ride a standard bike. Lenny's mum heard about Whizz Kidz from the parents of other children with disabilities. The charity had already helped some of Lenny's friends. Whizz Kidz supported Lenny with a custom-made tricycle that supported all his physical needs. The tricycle was meant to support Lenny until around the age of 8. Lenny is now 11 and is still able to use it. 

Whizz Kidz needs your kind donations to continue supporting children and young people to become confident and independent young adults. Please sponsor me and donate what you can to enable other children to gain access to equipment and opportunities, like Lenny did. They are opportunities that improve the children's quality of life that they may not otherwise have.
