Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I love sport. I love exercise. But I haven't done any running for over 18 months. Just over a year ago I had my little boy, Archie James. He is just brilliant. Happy and healthy. To say life changed is a massive understatement. Having a child is easily the hardest thing I have ever done. Archie doesn't really sleep that well. Waking 10+ x a night is the norm. This means I have had nearly every excuse possible to prevent me getting back into exercise. That changed when my friend at work, Lucy Lu, said she was raising money for Jessie May.
Jessie May is a Children's Hospice with a vision to give all children and young people with life limiting conditions the very best quality of life possible allowing them to live and be cared for in their own homes with their families. This charity really is incredible. My husband and I feel so incredibly lucky to have a child who doesn't need these services but I really want to help those that aren't as fortunate as ourselves. We cannot even start to imagine how hard this must be and how important charities like this are to making these tough times that tiny bit easier.
So even though I haven't run in 18+ months. I am going to run the Bristol half marathon. I am going to make myself train (in the little time that I have). And I am going to complete it. I am not doing this for me. I am doing this for them. For the children who have been dealt a bad hand. For the families who need all the love and support possible.
If you have even a £1 towards this amazing charity, it would be so very much appreciated.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
