Story
My name is Finley and I am 8 ... well nearly 9. I have been growing my hair since I was 5 years old after seeing children with no hair on Children in Need. I asked my mum if I could grow my hair so that I could then cut it off and donate it to The Little Princess Trust and she said I could.
My hair hasn't been cut since August 2015 and it is now down to my waist. I have been mistaken for a girl so many times that I have lost count. But it doesn't bother me because I know that I will be help ing a little girl or boy who has lost their hair from cancer or alopecia and that is far more important.
I think that now my hair is so long I should cut it off. I have grown to love my hair as it is so soft but I know that it will go towards a wig that will make another child very happy.
I am having my hair cut on my 9th birthday and would really like it if you could sponsor me so that I can sent it to The Little Princess Trust along with all my hair.
The real hair wigs that the Little Princess Trust provide are free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24 that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. They receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.
Thank you,
Finley.... x
