Story
At 46 years young my darling husband Giles Margerison lost his battle against pancreatic cancer and sadly passed away in March 2017.
Giles was a passionate advocate of the Pancreatic Cancer UK charity, taking part in medical trials, selflessly supporting other patients and giving his time to build media understanding of the disease. He knew the facts that Pancreatic Cancer has the lowest survival rate of all of the 21 common cancers with only four percent of people living for five years or more after diagnosis.
Pancreatic Cancer is tough to diagnose. Its symptoms are vague and often leads to it being misdiagnosed with other more common conditions. This means that by the time a person receives a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, it's often too late for surgery - the only possible cure for the disease. Pancreatic cancer can affect anyone regardless of age, gender or lifestyle.
That is why 'friends of Giles Margerison' would like to support Pancreatic Cancer UK by taking part in a 24 mile walk. As always we are "taking it on together". Please dig deep and support this amazing man. Your donation will go straight to the people that will find the CURE.
