Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those of you who know me would have seen that these last 6 months have been particularly challenging for my family.
We sadly lost my courageous big brother Craig in March and my beautiful mum Cheryl this June.
I have therefore decided to run the GSR for SIBS this year and by chance it falls on Craig’s birthday. It will no doubt be an emotional day.
I will be running with Robby Roberts our lovely landlord at The Village Home, who has been an absolute superstar throughout training and is as keen as I am to raise money for such a fabulous charity.
This charity is only small at the moment, but is having a huge impact on siblings all over the UK who have a/or multiple brothers or sisters with a disability of some kind.
Being the middle child in a family where we had 3 family members with a life degenerate conditions, I know all too well how challenging and also rewarding being a disabled family can be.
In the later years, I have been very much involved with advocating for my love ones which has been heartbreaking and exhausting at times.
This is where this wonderful charity is of so much benefit to people like myself and younger siblings.
It’s a very unique and sometimes lonely experience at times, so the support from SIBS has been invaluable. They arrange many events, group sessions for both children and adults, respite projects and much more to support siblings all over the UK
This charity has a huge heart and I can assure you al the money will go directly back to those in need and expanding the charity to reach more people.
So please spare whatever you can to raise money for SIBS and make a big difference to such a wonderful cause 🙏
One last this - if you are local we would love nothing more than you to come and cheer TEAM CRAIG on during the run and/or join us later by raising a glass in Craig's honour at the pub where the fundraising will continue.
