Lisa Lynch's Super Sweet Charity 30th
Fundraising for Breast Cancer Care
So there it is. I'm 30. And, as promised, I've been deflecting attention away from the demise of my twenties by pulling on my charity boots (they're more Hunter than Hustler) and doing something good for Breast Cancer Care. The birthday celebrations involved my long-planned Super Sweet 30th birthday party, at which I asked my nearest and dearest to bring not presents, but instead their wallets to help me raise money for Breast Cancer Care. And thanks to their incredible generosity, they managed to raise OVER £7,000 in one night. £5,631 was raised in the auction. And £1,473 was raised in the raffle and other donations. It's amazing what you can do for charity when you fill people with beer. Those of you who've visited this page before will have noticed that the previous fundraising total was £6,000. But since the £5,631 from the auction has gone straight into the coffers at Breast Cancer Care, I've amended this total in the hope that we can push for something closer to a rather more impressive £9,000 total instead. So if there's any change left down the back of the sofa (or rattling round in your clutch bag from the night, if you were there), this would be a rather wonderful place to put it. Anything you find would be gratefully received – not just by me, but by a charity that’s hugely important to me and my ageing, thirtysomething bones. Lisa x http://alrighttit.com
