Story
My husband Steve is thankfully 15 years clear, having had Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Steve’s cancer was diagnosed and treated readily, for which I will be eternally grateful. There are, however, other types of cancer that are harder to diagnose and treat, Sarcoma (bone and soft tissue cancer) being one of the hardest. Therefore I wanted to run the 2023 London Marathon in support of Sarcoma UK.
Sarcoma UK is the only cancer charity in the UK focused on all types of Sarcoma.
By donating to my page, you will fund vital research projects looking for better treatments. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care. All funds raised will be going directly to a fantastic charity and every step will be worth running!
Mile 9 I dedicate to Ali Barker (Darling Ali), who is 9 years clear! 💗
Mile 16 I dedicate to Isobel (Izzy) Sheppard, who would have turned 16 this April. Isobel was an incredibly inspirational young lady, who has truly left her beautiful mark on the world! 💗
Thank you to all my family and friends for your incredible support…..it means a lot!!
Fondest,
Lisa 🏃♀️😃💗💙💗
