Pat Ivory (above, centre) was one of the most remarkable people I've ever known - she became a triathlete and keen cyclist at the age of 49. Her kindness towards others, selflessness and amazing sense of humour are greatly missed so I wanted to participate in an event in her honour that will encourage others to follow in her courageous footsteps. I'll be at Woodcote High School, Meadow Rise, Coulsdon CR5 2EH, on Sunday, 7 June 2015, wearing my fanciest fancy dress to run a 5K and hope as many people as possible will join us in celebrating her life and having a memorable day out.
Registration starts at 8.30am, the warm-up at 9am and the race will start at 9.15am in staggered groups. Please email me on quiet.medicine@gmail.com if you'd like to join us.
