Story

I can remember the day my friend Helen Marston told me that she had cancer. She told me not to look so worried as she was not going to die. She was the bravest person I have ever met, right up until the last time I went to visit her in StMichael's  hospice. I miss her homemade soups, her grumpiness, her down to earth direct advise and above all her loyal friendship. All I can do is say thank you to St Michael's for going above and beyond by making her as comfortable as possible at the end, so I'm going to do that by walking the three peaks with my fitness freak friend Jen Wintershladen, on my 39th birthday this year. Please say happy birthday to me by donating as little or as much as you can afford. I never imagined that I would have to say goodbye to my friend, you just never know what's around the corner!
