Hey guys!  Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. 

Next month, I’ll be running along side my friend,  Kate Oakley, in the London marathon, to raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK! 

I’m so privileged that I have the opportunity to be able to support such a great cause.   

Prostate Cancer UK's top priority is funding research to stop prostate cancer killing men. We’re investing millions to find better treatments and better tests that can spot fast-growing cancers early, and could be used in a screening programme to save thousands of lives.

In March 2018, Kate’s dad sadly passed away after he lost his battle with Prostate cancer.

 In January 2019, Kate got a place in the London marathon for Hospice UK. I didn’t have a place, and none of us had ever run a marathon before, but I knew that I REALLY wanted to support kate through her training, so we started the gruelling 13 week program, which took us up from 4 miles to 22 by week 9 before we had to start to taper!

When we first started our program, I was scared as I just did not know what to expect (none of us did) and I really wasn’t sure how far I could go with Kate re distance etc, but was definitely up for the challenge!

When we got close to the end, although it was hard, I was positive, and I really wanted to run the marathon with Kate, so I tried to get a last minute place, but it was just too late!  A friend mentioned about doing another marathon, so I signed up to Stratford marathon. It was probably the hardest but one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done!  

I’m very much looking forward to running London this year to help support Prostate cancer UK in all the fab work they do!
