Story
After being rushed to hospital in November 2017 we eventually received the devastating diagnosis that our gorgeous little boy had an incurable brain tumour and we were told to have hope but also make a bucket list 💔 Louie Jay Hibberd passed away aged just 12 years old on 17th July 2020 and our lives will never be the same again.
It’s taken time to feel ready to share our story and raise money for such vital research. Anyone could find themselves in the position we were in. Every single day a family receives the news that we did, will sit where we sat and receive the devastating news that your baby may lose their life.
I have met some incredible people that share the same story as us. Louie and Lizzie sharing their love of arts and crafts every day of their treatment. It’s a rubbish club we belong to and there are far too many of us. I will be walking in memory of our Louie JH6 and every child that has lost their life to a brain tumour.
Wherever you are and however this devastating disease has touched your life, we are calling you to take part by organising (or joining) a Walk of Hope in your area.Walk by a river or alongside a canal, round a park or even up a mountain!Choose your own route, do it on your own or walk with family and friends, or get together with everyone in your community or at work and organise a bigger event.Wherever you walk, join thousands around the country creating a sea of pink in our fabulous t-shirts.Together we will find a cure.
