My son Maison was born premature on the 4th of October 2012. It was without a doubt the scariest time of my life. He was very small but looked perfect from head to toe. Before I could see him he was whisked off to intensive care. Over 10 days he receieved many treatments and underwent procedures for various different problems. Sadly on the 14th of October he passed away in mine and his Daddys arms. It was a very emotional, difficult and anxious time but BLISS helpped me to understand our situation and what to expect ect through info and support. Even now they are still a big help. We will never get over Maison's passing but BLISS are always there for support and I am finding new ways to cope everyday. It has also been nice to talk to other parents who have also been in a similar situation who I have found through BLISS. BLISS also fund research into the treatment and care of premature and sick babies aswell as so many other positive things which can be seen on their website. So to give something back I am raising money for BLISS in memory of Maison. Two of my best friends Chloe White and Tania Narine are supporting me in doing this, to raise money and to complete the half marathon and to run, jog, walk or crawl over the finish line :-)
