Ronald Mcdonald House Charities are partnered with 12 NHS hospitals across England, Scotland and Wales. In 2021 alone, they supported 3916 families. 

They use the donations to help keep families close to their sick children in hospital. They provide free accommodation and support, where parents and siblings can have a place to rest, close to their child's hospital bed, along with facilities that allow them to have as much normality as possible.

In 2022, I was introduced to a beautiful family, whose daughter Sienna was born at just 24 weeks, with 50% chance of surviving. Weighing just 1lb 7oz, Sienna was in hospital for 96 days, during which time, her family was accommodated at Ronald Mcdonald House, Brighton.

On the 5th March 2023, I will be taking part in my first half marathon race in Eastbourne,  where pending a current knee injury, I am hoping to run as much as possible. However I get there, be it run, walk or crawl, I will  be doing this for dear Sienna, who is now a thriving 3 year old princess, who keeps everyone smiling and of course all families that require or have required the support of this wonderful charity.
