I have set up this page for my son Troy Dodds. Troy is 10 yrs old and was born with left arm Erbs palsy due to a birth trauma. Erbs palsy effects primary nerves that supply movement and feeling to the arm. Troy had nerve grafts at 5 months old and a tendon transfer at 4 yrs old. He is currently awaiting his next operation.
Troy has never let his disability stop him from trying new sports. He is a ASA accomplished stage 8 swimmer, rides his scooter, tries very hard to surf on holiday in Devon , enjoyed trampolining learning forwards and backwards somersaults but loves mountain biking.
On September 12th-14th 2014 along with his dad Troy is going to cycle the Hadrians Way, which is 174miles.(280 km) It starts from Glannaventa Roman Bath House, Ravenglass, northwards along the Cumbrian coast to the Solway coast before heading east from Bowness-On-Solway to Carlisle, through the Northumberland National Park along the river Tyne past Segedunum Roman Fort, Baths and Museum and finally on to Tynemouth.
Troy thought he would like to raise money for Erbs Palsy Group which is a national support group for children and adults with obstetrical Erbs Palsy
This will be a massive challenge for Troy and his aim is to cycle all the way (no pushing allowed) in 3 days so please help him to raise money for Erbs Palsy Group.
Thank you
