Story
Our Daughter Vivian Lake Cotton was born prematurely at 27 weeks old. Because of her sudden birth, she suffered a brain hemorrhage that resulted in the eventual diagnosis of Epilepsy. Vivian suffered through many challenges in her short life but dealing with her uncontrolled seizures was by far the most heartbreaking challenge for our family. During the 18 months she was with us we tried countless medications and therapies many of which had devastating side effects. Eventually, it became too much for her tiny body to endure. We lost her on April 19th, 2015.
Each year, we look forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with the CURE family to celebrate research progress and recommit to funding the next wave of promising science. And while we can't stand together in person this year, we will still Unite to CURE Epilepsy. Now more than ever, it is critical that we continue to fund the groundbreaking research that will one day lead us to a cure for epilepsy, and it's up to us to be part of the progress. CURE is incredibly important to me, and I hope you'll consider making a gift through my page. Then, join me in tuning into the online program on Thursday, September 24. This live streamed event, featuring world-class entertainment from country music star Eric Church and live host Mike Barnicle of MSNBC's Morning Joe, is designed to transcend geography, bringing us, the dedicated supporters, together to team up and raise critically needed funds to help CURE achieve our mission of finding a cure for epilepsy.Thank you so much for your support.
