As many of my friends and family know that sadly my lovely mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and over the past year  is becoming more and more dependent on her children. To slowly lose that one person that has always been your rock, your loving mum and Dad has been a really difficult and emotional.

I started running as a hobby in August and enjoy it so much, not only the freedom but also how it clears your head after a hectic day. I decided to make a goal that I hope to achieve. This will be my first official run I'm sure it will be a difficult challenge for me not only physically but mentally too and I'm willing to give it my best shot. If my mum is proud of me for a day then its worth every second of that day just to see her face as I cross the finish line.

I hope any money that people are kind enough to donate will help find a cure for this very sad disease that affects so many families.
