After suffering for many years with severe back pain, my Dad underwent an operation in May 2011 to gain a better quality of life.  The operation was a success, however he was left paralysed from the waist down after contracting a strain of MRSA.

He has been in hospital since October 2011 and is currently undergoing rehab at Stoke Mandeville in Aylesbury.  Unfortunately he has been quite poorly for the last 6 weeks which has set his progress back and therefore his release date for coming home.

So I am undertaking this 10km run to raise money for the Spinal Injuries Association with my Dad as my inspiration - the most amazing, courageous Dad ever.  I love you xxxxxxxxxxx
