Thank you for taking the time to read my Just Giving Page.
Myself And Thomas and Val completed the 10k now we have handed over our baton over to Ashleigh Jordan Annie Lawrence who are doing the Abersoch 10k on the 1st June . Please continue to support this Just Giving Page.
My name is Lisa, as some of you may know, I was involved in the Manchester terrorist attack on May 22nd, 2017.
My daughter was in the auditorium, and I was waiting for her in the foyer when the bomb was detonated.
I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones as I’m still here. The care and attention I received from the emergency services and hospital staff was truly amazing, and I can’t thank them enough for the support they gave me and my family as I underwent several operations.
Since then I have been lucky enough to complete my rehabilitation at the Manchester Institution of Health and Performance, who have also been amazing.
So....it’s now my turn to give something back.
I am certainly not a runner, but.....I’ve signed up along with Thomas my son for the Manchester 10K run on Sunday May 19th 2019....this is almost 2 years after the incident.
This will test both my physical and mental resilience. I will run or walk the 10K, but however I do it, I am determined to complete it!
I am raising money for the Manchester Memorial Fund which is a Manchester based charity which sponsors the families of the 22 victims. The charity also are raising money to fund a memorial to be erected in Manchester in honour of those who lost their lives and who were injured.
If you are able, I would appreciate your support by sponsoring me in this challenge.
