We fund biomedical research into ME to create a strategy for cure/treatment

Story

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I suffer from M.E (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), it's a debilitating, horrible illness that makes life very difficult.

Some of my fellow sufferers and I are dressing up as princesses for 'The Big Sleep for M.E', an event that takes place during the M.E Awareness Week. You may think that it's not the usual thing to do to raise money, but we're not going to be running marathons any time soon, sadly. The Big Sleep allows sufferers to come together to raise money while not doing anything to make their symptoms worse.

The idea came from a friend of mine, based on the fairytale 'Sleeping Beauty'. Sleep problems are a massive part of M.E and it will give us a chance to swap our pyjamas for some sparkle :)

There are around 250,000 sufferers in the UK. There is no cure, no diagnostic tests and few treatments. It's often left to us to raise awareness and funds for research. All donations will go to 'Invest in M.E', a charity raising money for essential biomedical research.

Thanks again for visiting xx
