Well, it's 6 years since I was diagnosed with breast cancer and not a day goes by where I'm not grateful to be here! I feel tremendously lucky to have had the treatment, care and support from The Bexley wing Oncology hospital at St James, Leeds, and see the fantastic work Yorkshire Cancer Centre do there to make patients and their families lives more positive when fighting cancer.
I plan to mark the end of my remission in 2017 with a Trek in Nepal and community project at a hospice in Kathmandu to raise even more funds for this wonderful cause.
The YCC are the fundraising arm of St. James Leeds Oncology hospital who are involved in ground braking research and provide amazing care and support for cancer patients and their families all across Yorkshire and the UK.
