Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In memory of Shirley Kain, who died Oct 2009 aged 59 after a long battle with breast cancer. Shirley died peacefully and with dignity in the Marie Curie Hospice, Elswick, Newcastle.
Between 2nd-4th of October 2010, our team aims to complete the 150 mile c2c cycle ride from Whitehaven to Tynemouth in order to raise as much money as we can for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This is a fantastic charity that provides expert care and support to cancer patients and the terminally ill, as well as to their families. Anyone touched by the work of this charity will tell you how invaluable their care is. Words cannot descibe how greatful I am for all that they did for my mam and for the support they gave me during the final days of her illness.
All donations will be greatly appreciated and well worth our efforts. We are not professional cyclists by any means, but are willing to put up with a little pain if it means aiding this great cause.
Many thanks!
John Kain and the team : Lisa, Bob, Ian and Anthony.
