Story

Thank you for coming to my Just Giving Page.

I want to run for Bowel Research UK to give back after all the wonderful treatment I had through three major operations and to help other people who are experiencing bowel cancer or other bowel disease.

I ran the London Marathon in October 2022 for my lovely client Save the Children. That was amazing as I had been waiting to run since Summer 2019 but with my cancer diagnosis and Covid I had to wait three years to run it!

During the 2022 marathon, every time I saw a running vest with 'Bowel Research' or 'Bowel Cancer' or 'Bowel Babe' run past me, I got quite choked up and knew I needed to do one more marathon (whilst I can) and to do it for a cause that I want to give back to.

I might be an old lady 😊 but I am running to celebrate that I am still alive and to say thank you!
