A year ago today I ran Manchester Marathon. I was rather chuffed, pleased with myself.
I said my first and last. I was happy with that. Why would you run another, Vicky?
Then after 10 years of trying, I finally got a yes, a ballot place for London Marathon!
Well it would be rude not too - Here we go again. Another winter of training, weekends dedicated to running, moaning and plenty of self doubt.
Hand on heart, marathon training has really broken me. Life & health are in a very different place this time around.
What has got me up at silly o'clock, got me through it....my dogged stoical drive which I got from my much missed Mum.
Whatever happens from start to finish is anyone's guess but I'll be bloody well running my miles for Mum. 26.2 Mum Miles xxx
Whatever you can spare will be going towards much needed research into this cruel type of cancer which took my Mum before she had time to enjoy her retirement. So many others taken or suffering.
THANK YOU to all who are supporting me by joining me on many training runs, who listen to me moan and those who believe I can drag myself around 26.2 miles again.
Much love me and the Linzell crew XxX
