Coming out, or being outed as LGBTQ+ can lead to young people being made homeless. This is the reality for 77% of the young people akt supports. We proudly offer safe homes and better futures for LGBTQ+ people aged 16-25.

Story

We are delighted to be part of  #aktogether sessions 21-22nd May!

My name is Linus and I'm normally an actor. Whilst I was staying home and protecting the NHS I started drawing people - rather badly- and it proved quite popular.

My mum Elisabeth became popular on twitter after posting some videos and constantly spreading love to the queer community.

If you donate I would gladly draw you (or a loved one) and Elisabeth will make you a personalised video.

It's just a bit of silly fun, but if it can raise any money at all for such a wonderful charity that the Albert Kennedy Trust is we would be most pleased.

There is no donation limit to receive a drawing or a video - all donations made up until May 22nd are valid. Every little helps and if you have the finances to support in any way at all it would be amazing.

Thank you so much!

More about AKT and what they do:

Lots of young people come out as LGBTQ+ to their families and are embraced and supported. But that’s not always the case. Coming out, or being outed as LGBTQ+ can lead to young people being made homeless. This is the reality for 77% of the young people akt supports. Sometimes families are unaccepting and abusive. The locks changed. Possessions destroyed. akt exists to support these young people and can offer safety and hope in an open and accepting environment. We help with housing and also to help them celebrate their identity.
