Story

Scotland is the only country with a guaranteed minimum 1 year Post Diagnostic Support service for people diagnosed with Dementia. This service is available the length and breadth of Scotland. Alzheimer Scotland are funded through Health & Social Care Partnerships to provide this unique service in many localities. Throughout Dementia Awareness Week (1st - 7th June) Alzheimer Scotland Link Workers are  taking part in a challenge to walk/run/cycle the length of Scotland from John O'Groats to Gretna. Our aim is to raise awareness of Dementia and to raise money for our organisation to continue to provide vital services to support people with dementia and their families across Scotland.
