Story
I am approaching this particular marathon with some trepidation and I have given serious consideration to wearing a Womble outfit so that I have a ready made excuse available if I start to slack off at 20 miles.
Unfortunately big furry running outfits and sunshine don't mix, so I've decided to stick to my usual 'Cancer Research' turquoise vest and shorts...
I'd like to say a huge thanks to all of you for visiting my site. I appreciate that some of you have generously and tirelessly sponsored me every year, so you'll be pleased to hear that this is definitely the FINAL time I will be running such a ridiculous distance.
I am actually raising money for two charities. The first is Cancer Research UK, in memory of Tim's mum but also in celebration of three close friends/family members who have fought this disease.
My second charity is ARC, an animal rescue charity which was set up by one of my friends who volunteers a huge amount of her time helping to run it, so if you'd like to split your donation, please go to justgiving.com/lindseychadwick2
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
