Story
Myself and a team of work colleagues have decided to support Brain Tumour Research November challenge. We are committing to 100 Squats or Star Jumps each, every day in November for our charitable monthly challenge.
Friends and colleagues that know me well will realise this is a charity very close to my heart. Back in 2015, at the age of 2 1/2 years old my gorgeous niece Elsie was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Medulloblastoma brain tumour. Our world as a family changed forever, but after nine months of treatment which involved two major brain surgeries, chemotherapy and stem cell treatment her road to recovery began. For over 5 years she was constantly monitored with regular MRI scans and tests but unfortunately in March 2020 she had a relapse and another brain tumour was found, not only was the world dealing with Covid but as a family the fight against this awful disease started again. Elsie is now 10 years old and thankfully in remission again, charities like this need funding for their research to continue. In the UK more children and adults under the age of 40 die of a brain tumour than any other cancer. I understand times are difficult at the moment but any donation is greatly received. Thank you.
