FareShare redistributes good-to-eat, surplus food, which would otherwise go to waste, to 8,000 local charities and community groups across the UK. But our charities are facing unprecedented demand for food. Join our fight against hunger and food waste. Support FareShare today.

Story

I'm raising money and awareness of the global problem of food waste by dressing as a vegetable every day, all day, for the month of December.

Peas, along with thousands of tons of delicious and nutritious food is wasted every year in the UK, while at the same time 8.4 million people are living in poverty and struggling to eat. It's particularly difficult over the holiday season and in winter, for isolated or homeless people, families living in poverty, elderly people on their own, and millions of others.

I'm dressing up as Peas, wearing this very green and quite large costume for 25 days, 24 hours a day, everywhere I go. From the 1st of December, I'll be dressed as Peas commuting to work, walking the dog in Richmond Park, going to meetings, in the supermarket, to the cinema and even nights out. I'll wear this until Christmas Day and you can follow me on Twitter for live updates @LindseyCape

It isn't fair that children don't have enough food to eat. Please sponsor me and help make a difference to a family this holiday season and all year round.

Thank you!!
